Cheaper to house the homeless than to let them remain on the streets

We already know this. MCIS’ Homelessness Partnership Initiative project provides language services for homeless or at risk of homelessness immigrants, refugees and people who are deaf or hard of hearing to help them transition into stable housing quickly. When individuals receive language access they have the power to make decisions that are right, for their stability, safety and security.

Over the past year we have served over 500 homeless individuals accessing 10 City shelters and trained over 100 interpreters on working effectively with this vulnerable population.
